Do you buy Category S vans?
Yes. Category S means the vehicle has suffered structural damage. These vans can still have value for repair, salvage or reusable parts, depending on the extent of the damage.
Do you buy Category N vans?
Yes. Category N vehicles have not suffered structural damage, although they may still have significant bodywork, electrical or mechanical damage. We regularly provide quotations for Category N vans.
Can I sell a van that has been written off by my insurer?
Yes, provided you are legally entitled to sell the vehicle. If your insurer has already taken ownership or settled the claim on the basis that they retain the van, you will need to confirm the position with them first.
Do you buy vans with unrecorded accident damage?
Yes. A van does not need to have an insurance category for us to buy it. We purchase vehicles with recorded and unrecorded accident damage.
Can I sell a flood-damaged or water-damaged van?

Does my damaged van need to start or drive?

Will you need photographs of the damage?

How is a damaged van valued?
The valuation can depend on the make, model, age, mileage, type of damage, repair potential and demand for reusable parts. Some damaged vans are worth considerably more as salvage than by scrap weight alone.
Is collection free for a damaged van?
Yes. Collection is included in the agreed quotation. The vehicle must be in an accessible location suitable for the recovery vehicle.
When will I be paid for my damaged van?
Payment is made by bank transfer once the vehicle has been checked and collection is completed. Cash cannot be used when a vehicle is purchased as scrap under scrap-metal legislation.
What paperwork do I need to sell a damaged van?
The V5C logbook is helpful, along with identification, keys and any available service or repair documents. If the vehicle has been written off, make sure the DVLA and insurer have been notified correctly where required.
What happens to my damaged van after collection?
Depending on its condition, it may be repaired, dismantled for reusable parts or treated as an end-of-life vehicle. Vehicles being scrapped must be handled by an authorised treatment facility, and a Certificate of Destruction is issued where required.
